Goodies

“Every good and perfect gift is from above—comes down from the Father of lights…” – James 1:17 (translation mine)

Some days feel dark and heavy.

You try to hold it together—

but inside, you’re tired… hurting… worn down.

Maybe no one else sees it.

Maybe you’ve learned how to function while quietly breaking.

But here is something you need to hear—and not dismiss:

You were never meant to carry this alone.

Jesus Did Not Come to Condemn You

Many assume that if they come to God,

they will be met with disappointment, judgment, or rejection.

But that is not who Jesus is.

Jesus did not come to condemn you—

He came to rescue you.

He does not stand at a distance,

waiting for you to fix yourself.

He steps toward you—

into your mess, your confusion, your exhaustion.

Not to shame you,

but to save you.

He Sees You More Clearly Than You Think

You may feel unseen.

Misunderstood.

Overlooked.

But Jesus sees what others cannot.

He sees your pain.

He knows your struggle.

He understands the weight you carry—

the silent battles, the unanswered questions,

the things you don’t even know how to put into words.

And He is not indifferent to it.

“Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with goodies.” – Emperor–Healer Jesus Christ (Psalm 81:10, translation mine)

What Jesus Actually Does

The promise of the gospel is not vague encouragement.

It is concrete, transformative reality.

Jesus is able to:

• Rescue what has been lost

Even what feels beyond recovery is not beyond Him.

• Heal what is broken

Not only physically, but emotionally, spiritually, relationally.

• Renew what is worn out

When you feel drained and depleted—He restores.

• Fill you with God’s goodness

Not temporary relief, but lasting life—

the “goodies” of God: His Spirit, His peace, His presence, His power.

This is not wishful thinking.

This is the promise of the gospel.

This Is Not Hype

We live in a world full of empty promises.

Quick fixes.

Motivational words that fade.

Solutions that don’t last.

But what Jesus offers is different.

It is not hype.

It is not illusion.

It is truth—

grounded in who He is and what He has done

through His life, His death, and His resurrection.

Don’t Scroll Past This Moment

It’s easy to move on.

To distract yourself.

To numb the weight.

To say, “Maybe later.”

But what if this moment matters?

What if this is your invitation?

Not to become perfect overnight—

but to simply turn toward Him.

What You Can Do Right Now

You don’t need perfect words.

You don’t need a script.

Just begin:

Turn to Him.

Acknowledge Him.

Talk to Him.

Be honest—even if it’s messy.

Trust Him.

Even if your faith feels small.

You can pray something as simple as:

“Jesus, rescue me.

Heal me.

Renew me.

Fill me with Your life.”

He Hears You—Even Now

You may feel far from God.

But He is not far from you.

He hears you—even now.

Not because you’ve earned it.

Not because you’ve done everything right.

But because of His grace.

The Foundation of It All

This hope stands on something solid:

By God’s grace alone.

Through faith alone.

Because of Jesus Messiah alone.

You are not alone.

You were never meant to be.

And even in this moment—

Jesus is still the One who rescues, heals, and renews.
