Welcome to my blog!
My name is Glem Melo. I am a believer-follower of the savior jesus messiah (isa al-masih abdullah), founder and I-don’t-know 😉 of Open Eyes Mission (ministering as New Hope Global in the U.S. and worldwide), and serving since 1998 as a pastor and church planter among unreached people groups (UPGs). At the same time, I am also a computer engineer, California-licensed assisted-living facility administrator, registered behavior technician (RBT), acute nursing assistant (ANA), and Psychology student at Berkeley City College.
For 17 years (from 1998 to 2015) in the Philippines, with co-laborers and partners, I planted six churches in Roman Catholic areas, trained and deployed two church planting teams to unreached areas, taught and trained hundreds of pastors and missionaries, served more than 1,000 children-at-high-risk and their families, and developed relief, rehabilitation, counseling, and Bible study ministries to more than 3,000 survivors of killer typhoons. And as Northern Mindanao Director of Asian Center for Missions (ACM), I trained more than 135 Filipino missionaries and facilitated the deployment of more than 50 of my trainees to restricted-access countries in Asia.
Since 2016, I have been engaged in evangelism and church planting ministries in key cities of the United States. At the same time, through multimedia and internet-based tools, I continue (grossly imperfect beyond words as I am) to provide leadership, teaching, and ministry to all of God’s cosmos and humanity; mentoring to one new church planter; and training in theology and ministry for all Christian churches worldwide 😉
The Bible teaches that god is real, we are broken, and jesus (isa) is our only savior.
“For god thus loved the world, that he gave his son, his only, in order that everyone who is-believing into [union with] him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, translation mine)
