“God separated his dwelling place, The Holy of Holies, through a curtain in the temple. And only at the Day of Atonement, or Yom Kippur (which happens yearly), when blood is shed, can the High Priest enter God’s dwelling place to worship him. But, Jesus shed his blood on the cross for us. And through his sacrifice, the veil/curtain of the temple was torn in two. God can now live among us because of that one sacrifice. And when Jesus was resurrected, he opened the way to God.” – Yanan Melo (14)
