Pride is a thing that can clog love from our heart.
Pride is a thing that can keep us apart.
Pride is a thing that can hinder our soul.
Pride is a thing that can crush us all-in-all.

The only thing I want you to know,
What the Bible said so,
“One’s pride will bring him low,
But he who is lowly in spirit
Will obtain honor.” Proverbs 29:23 (ESV)

I know that didn’t rhyme.
I just don’t have such time.
I just want you to know how to listen,
Because of Christ, humility is joyfully given.
