The new year is here!  As we celebrate and look forward to what God has in store for us in 2018, let us keep in mind that the universe belongs to and is ruled by the Lord Jesus Christ, who is both the Son of God and the Son of Man.

“All things were created through him and for him.” (Colossians 1:16b)

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

And He is good!

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd glays down his life for the sheep.” (John10:11)

And they sang a new song, saying,

“Worthy are you to take the scroll

and to open its seals,

for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God

from every tribe and language and people and nation,

and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,

and they shall reign on the earth.”

(Revelation5:9-10)

And so… Happy 2018, Christ’s universe!
