“Please pray for the pastor and members of Bogo Presbyterian Church in supertyphoon-ravaged northern Cebu. Their building and parsonage are severely damaged. Six families have lost their homes and are staying in the church.” – Pastor Glem Melo

While the medical team was working out the logistics for the mission to Ormoc, I traveled to northern Cebu where Haiyan (Yolanda) made its 3rd landfall. On the situation in the area, GMA News reports,
“[In northern Cebu] Yolanda [Haiyan] left a trail of equally violent desolation. Aid is still only dribbling in, while the most basic of necessities are lacking.”
In Bogo, I visited, ministered and gave loaves of bread to members-evacuees of the local Presbyterian church. Their building and parsonage are severely damaged. Six families have lost their homes and are staying in the church. We plan to visit and minister there again in a couple of weeks, Lord willing.
Please remember to pray for this precious brothers and sisters in Christ.
